     This lens has only two errors ". " First, it is big and heavy – quality of construction often results in a heavy lens. Secondly, if the photographer, the results that has seen this lens can produce, there is a likelihood that he or she is unhappy with the other lenses in the camera bag.
     Getting Results: The images are razor sharp with this on my Nikon D70 mounted zoom. I do recordings that I could never get because this is before the lens, so crisp that patients taken at a distance but can produce tailored to an acceptable close-up " image. Look considered more normal distances are breathtakingly sharp – as if shot with an excellent fixed focal length. This is a fast lens (F / 2. throughout its zoom range. Even more importantly, this lens is the best bokeh " " I have ever seen in a lens. Bokeh " ", to the extent that I understand the concept (it is a Japanese word meaning roughly fuzzy " "), is one word to describe whether the out-of – focal part of an image (ie the background out of focus but in a photo in which only focuses on the subject) has a nice look to it. This lens produces beautiful, creamy bokeh. The sharpness and bokeh, with excellent color rendering light of this lens, makes this a genuine classic.
     I occasionally have to minor ghosting on this lens in the inclusion in a very bright subject, ie, the sun reflected on the sea. This is a normal loss of a zoom lens consists of a variety of elements, and I have often experienced. But such opportunities are rare.
     The action of the autofocus lens is very good. Even birds at very large distances usually produce a quick, snappy auto focus lock on my Nikon D70 to. Very rarely " " hunt for an AF lock, and these opportunities are likely due to operator error and not the lens. This lens also has Vibration Reduction (VR), which it can produce on an acceptable images below what an F / 2 8 lens usually suitable. The VR really works well, but it is by no means a panacea for dim light.
     This is one of professional lenses from Nikon, and the quality of construction is very good. The critical mount is made of metal, and the whole lens is built like a tank. The lens comes with a nice squeeze-style lens cap, and a very good lens hood, which can make itself easy to undo for storage.
     The reader can see that I'm in love very satisfied with this lens. The reason is that, despite its bulk and weight of this lens is the best nature shots that I ever managed to take in order to produce well.

     Yes, this lens is already legend, and no, it's not just a few people try to justify spending a lot of money on a lens. Make no mistake, this lens is big and expensive. It is not fitting in the bag, nor is it a friend's house party. That brings with it the 18-70mm, 28-200G, or just a cheap P & S-type camera, if you spill beer on it!
     The 70-200 VR is a PRO lens that almost everything is done properly. It's size is the byproduct of an optical design that is really as good as any compromise. This lens is sharp. . . as sharp as my 50mm prime and sharper wide open that you believe or expect. On a D70 the focus is lightning fast and very accurate. Color rendering is the best I've ever seen. I am much less post-processing, if the baby on the D70.
     On the problematic side, this lens is BIG. It is difficult and in the way, if also fairly easy to understand. I added a portrait Harbor Tronics grip and the handling / balance improved. It has a large pocket and is focused on a few feet below 5th Although it is a great portrait lens, you need space to get out of it. My first shots with this lens put to shame experienced my lenses. The bokeh, or quality of out-of-focus was creamy and pleasant. Subjects had a 3D quality to them.
     The VR system is exactly what one would expect. I sat on my couch, framed the text on my DVD player about 8 feet away and shooting at F / 2 8 ISO 200 for a 1 / 2 seconds exposure. At 200mm (300mm on the D70) the image was sharp. Without VR I have a big blur.
     The real question is: Do you need a 1700-dollar lens?
     Answer: Only if you want it. The quality is everything at a level that people have about this lens as it's magic. I have friends who pro with Canon and Nikon to shoot. Even the Canon users say that a 70-200VR is the best of its kind to sell a kidney and buy one!

     I love this lens. This is an excellent complement to my Nikon 28-70 2. 8. It is good to D200 and F100 balanced (with Grip MB). Just last weekend for use in a family wedding. It really is not a lens for the casual gamer photography. If you are not willing to tolerate heavy equipment to be sincere, you will take much better pictures with HP digital cameras, as I sometimes do too. After all the shots are of moments, and when the lens in the path, there's no use.
     I personally prefer to use fixed 2nd Openings 8 over the entire zoom range. This is very important for me because I most often use, such as Aperture Priority, above all images of people. That's why I love this lens. This is a very expensive lens. When VR is not important to you, go with more cheap 2nd with nearly identical optical properties Nikon 80-200 8. For me, VR is very important because I can not afford to use tripod, when I'm moving on and the pictures of my children or friends.
     If you could afford it, it's a big lens that you will never regret. If you do not you think it can only pay on purchasin expensive camera body, do not waste your time in front of the camera data, D70 vs. D200 vs. D2Xs camera etc. buy cheaper, but still buy this lens unless you are willing to bear heavy equipment to and obligated to take such pictures with a heavy instrument.
     Bokeh is amazing contrasts, creamy blur behind an object with 2 8 is just tender and tasty.
