After the circle, the possession of Canon Rebel 35mm manual cameras in the 80's and 35 mm automatic cameras in the 90s, then come with a fairly good Sony point and shoot digital field, I must say, the Nikon D60 is my wish & quot; the image revitalized " " " not just snap a picture. I have the bug for photography at a little over 40 years. I started with a Nikkormat FT in high school. 15 years later I bought a Nikon FM. I still own both and they work well still. I have several point and shot cameras on the road, but would also have the leap to a DSLR for some time, belongs. I had a wish list for quite a while, the D40 but originally upgraded to the D60 when it came out. My dear wife took the list, some of their own research and surprised me with a D60 kit with the 55-200 VR DX Zoom & 18-55 for my birthday in August. What a keeper, I married:)
I must say that I am absolutely happy and excited with this little digital beauty. It works well with my older Nikkor lenses and the 2 DX VR lenses are wonderful.
The various " " auto mode to work well if you want to leave the camera some, most or all of the work or need a quick shot and do not have the time to compose more than at. The manual mode gives you full control for those who experience or beginners who want to learn by experimentation.
The small size may be a problem for a single large hands, but it fits my medium-sized paws to a T. The 10th Have 2-megapixel, high ISO range, 3 methods, multiple shooting modes and wide choice of accessories, Nikkor lenses and Nikon make this an excellent platform for the beginning DSLR user as well as the more experienced. And the price at Amazon with both DX VR lens is a lot.
One more thing. The manual from Nikon is thorough, but not well organized or illustrated. For this reason, I recommend that you buy the " Nikon D60 (Focal Digital Camera Guides) by Corey Hilz. It is much better organized and illustrated, has a great quick-start section you get to photograph and in just a few minutes and has some nice tips and techniques from Corey, who is a great Photo Pro, and shows how all the great features Using this camera has. Well worth the current $ 13 57 price tag on Amazon and can be found here:

Wow! This camera and lens package offers! No, I do not believe work for Nikon or marketing firm, but I'm gone, how much easier it is for the amateur to reasonably clear pictures even more blown away.
